The 2010/2011 Year:

REGISTER FOR 2010/2011 ~ REGISTER BY AUG. 13 FOR THE EARLY DISCOUNT!

All families interested in registering for religious education for their students in pre-K through eighth grade must print and complete the registration form below and return it with payment to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs parish office or religious education office by September 15, 2010.

Sacrament Preparation

This religious education registration process DOES NOT register your student for sacrament preparation. In general, second graders will be invited to participate in the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, and eighth graders will be invited to participate in the sacrament of Confirmation. (Any student who has reached the appropriate age is invited to register for sacrament preparation.) Parents must attend sacrament registration meetings to register for sacrament preparation which requires family participation at additional meetings and events, and additional fees. Religious Education Tuition / Fees Information:

$100 tuition per student in 1^st - 8^th grade

$60 tuition per student age 3, 4, or 5

PLUS

$20 materials fee for every student

PLUS

$25 additional fee charged for

Family Program families only

The total charge will not exceed $350 per family.

PROGRAMS OFFERED

Weekly Monday Religious Education for students in 1^st through 8^th grades; 24 weekly sessions on Mondays from 4:30 - 5:45 pm beginning 9/27/2010.

Weekly Tuesday Religious Education for students in 1^st through 8^th grades; 20 weekly sessions on Tuesdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm beginning 9/28/2010.

Religious Education FAMILY PROGRAM

Monthly Sunday Family Program for students in 1^st through 8^th grades and their parents; 8 monthly sessions on Sundays from 1:00 - 3:00 pm beginning 9/26/2010. This program includes lunch at each monthly session, and requires additional work to be done at home with the family.

Sunday School for 3, 4 and 5 year olds and 1^st graders, Sundays during 10:00 mass, beginning Sunday, 9/26/2010. Sunday School is a religious education class for young children. New this year! First grade is also offered during our Sunday School session. The class for first graders on Sunday mornings will offer the same curriculum and use the same textbook (and lesson plan rubric) that Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday Family Program first graders will use.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

With four different programs offered next year - we need parents to serve as volunteers and Catechists. Volunteers who take on a year long commitment pay only the $20 materials fee for each student in their family in any program. This includes Family Program Catechists and Sunday School Catechists. We also need parents on Mondays and Tuesdays to serve as Hall Monitors and Volunteer Secretaries. Please consider this fulfilling ministry to serve our parish children.
