Our Lady Queen of Martyrs was established in 1954 by the late Rev. Lucian A. Hebert and the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, Ohio. The school opened with six classrooms, enrolling 300 students in grades one through five. Over the years, the school has developed, changed and expanded to accommodate the growing needs of the community. OLQM now boasts a successful pre-school program, a thriving grade school, and an academically challenging college preparatory middle school. Located on nine acres of residential property in Beverly Hills, our facilities include everything from a state-of-the-art computer center and science lab to an art studio, gymnasium, and outdoor soccer field. There are two classrooms per grade with a maximum of 28 students per class.
Philosophy
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School offers each student a Catholic education centered in the teachings of Jesus Christ. As members of this faith community, we are bound together by our Christian values and subscribe to the ideal that parents and faculty share the responsibility for the total growth of the student. Our constant endeavor is to establish an environment that provides each student the freedom and opportunity to discover their unique talents and abilities, develop a spiritual nature, and grow in their academic pursuits and social relationships. We strive to instill in each child a life-long commitment to learning and service to others.
